The 2025 Annual Conference and International Symposium of the Association of German Scholars and Teachers of the Republic of China
The Department of German at Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages recently hosted the 2025 Annual Conference and International Symposium of the Association of German Scholars and Teachers of the Republic of China, which was held with great success on the Wenzao campus.
This year’s conference, themed “Sustainability in Gen Z Education: Challenges Posed by New Methods and Technologies in Teaching German as a Foreign Language, Linguistics, and Literature”, brought together leading scholars and experts in German studies from Germany, Japan, South Korea, and universities across Taiwan.
The event featured in-depth discussions on emerging knowledge and technologies—such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine translation, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance), and augmented reality (AR)—and examined the challenges and opportunities these developments present for language education and literary research.
